Things I'm loving right now..
- taking time off from all my extra-curricular activities and just chilling out at home doing things I've been meaning to do (like blogging, backing up files, baking etc.) and enjoying it!
- caramel lattes sachets. With the weather cooling off, there's nothing quite like sitting at my desk, on the couch or reclining in bed with a nice hot caramel latte marking students work, reading or pintresting!
- skin foods argan oil hair masks. I was given a few samples to try when I last went to skin food. All I can say is that they are AMAZE. As soon as I put it in my hair it felt silky smooth, and after drying & straightening it stays silky, smooth and healthy! I will be back to buy more!
- learning how to feel confident in who I am and comfortable enough in my own skin to go for what I want without feeling insecure, inadequate or undeserving. This is a process and I'm working on it!
- the color coral! I'm not a big fan of pink, but this orangey/pinky hue has swayed me! It's making an appearance in my wardrobe in the form of a new beautiful scarf from H&M that I want to wear all the time and a new pair of rugby boots.
Remember to take a moment and love.

とうかさん
とうかさん (or toukasan) is held on the first Saturday in June. It's an event unique to Hiroshima and it marks the official start of wearing yukata for the summer season. Yukata are the summer version of kimono - although they are still super hot!
A group of friends & I got all gussied up in our Yakata (I had mine specially made, Japanese sizes and me don't agree) and headed on out to a beer garden for eat, drink & drink some more.
Great night, beautiful yukata and wonderful friends. What more could you ask for?

It's already July?!
June came and went with a flurry of activity, being super busy, not going to the gym & studying my ass off for my Japanese test last weekend. Now that's all done, I'll try and update you soon.
With July and a 1 year anniversary tomorrow that's probably best left forgotten comes freshness & a clean slate!
So begins my one (or two, or three) a day series. My life, according to me and my phone.
Today. Rain. Thunder. Lightning. I have never experienced a thunderstorm like today before. Driving home, running into the supermarket and loosing a sandal in the way, the lights going off in the supermarket when the lightning struck the roof, getting home and lying on the couch with the curtains open watching the lightning light up the sky. It was amazing.
I guess the pouring rain today was fitting. Clean slate after all!

M.I.A again!
I've been missing in action again!
Gotta sort it out..gosh I'm constantly playing catch up.
Friday favorites:
- Spring weather...it's pleasantly warm during the day and nice at night. Please stay like this forever.
- Prince of Wales tea. The best kind of tea since forever. Actually I lie..the best tea I've had was at Gerrys house and it was Paris breakfast. But Prince of Wales is a close second.
- Having a free afternoon to enjoy and go get coffee.
- Waking up in the morning feeling pretty good after getting some body & posture work done. Practicing my butt exercises as I type!
Seeing Musiq Soulchild live in Osaka, catching up with Sayo who was back from Tokyo, playing Touch Rugby in Tokushima, eating delish ramen, baking amazingly good cupcakes, acting in a friends short film, eating pizza and drinking chu-his at the beach & playing sunset poses, staying out till 5am and taking drunk purikura, getting koto lessons & trying not to break my knees!

お花見 round dois
Random hanami on a Sunday afternoon. The blossoms were in full bloom and they were super pretty...hence the mass load of pics.
A week later all the blossoms are gone and the new buds and leaves are out.
Fleeting beauty. Be grateful for everyday.

Kobe Catchups
Went to Kobe a few weekends ago for Springrove.
Was mildly excited (only mildly because I didn't really know any of the bands except LMFAO, and I wasn't too fussed about them) however it was great! LMFAO can put on a show - hot diggity! And Japanese bitches be crazy! Pushing, shoving & almost punches...a drastic change from the polite, respectful and quiet girls at the Ne-Yo concert!
Aaaaand I have a new obsession with a Korean boy band, BIGBANG. I had never heard of them before seeing them at the concert (they were the headliners - ahead if LMFAO!) and they were awesome! Just what a boy band should be, great songs sung by cute guys who can dance!
Now I know why my friends are obsessed with Korea!
